Classes for college students.

How will you stand out in the crowd of hundreds of other job applicants and prove you have the skills employers really want?

Employers are looking for people with critical thinking, creative thinking and problem solving skills.

A Harris Interactive survey of 2,001 U.S. college students and 1,000 hiring managers last fall found that 69% of students felt they were “very or completely prepared” for problem-solving tasks in the workplace, while fewer than half of the employers agreed.

Are you prepared to think creatively and solve problems when entering the workforce?

Most college classes give specific and detailed instructions for assignments, whereas most businesses expect employees to seek out problems and areas of improvement on their own and develop solutions.

Even employees in routine, task based job assignments such as invoice processing or transaction recording will encounter issues that require creative thinking and problem solving skills. Certainly anyone who interacts with customers will need to be able to think quickly and creatively on their feet.

With Flipside Thinker’s hands on, highly interactive “Problem Solving and Innovation for Business” course you can set yourself apart from other job applicants by learning how to apply specific problem solving frameworks to opportunities and threats, think more creatively about wide-ranging business issues, and take well developed solutions to your boss.

Boost your resume and your answers to behavioral interview questions such as “Give me an example of a time you used good judgment in solving a problem.”

Topics Include:

  1. Overcoming barriers to creative thinking
  2. Identifying problems and opportunities
  3. Innovation and value creation
  4. Idea generation
